Was established in 2016 to fulfill the need for more regular gatherings to share innovations, techniques and evolving guidelines about minimally invasive (Laparoscopic and Robotic Liver Surgery). ILLS mission includes the organization of a biennial Congress dedicated to the data sharing and outcomes from international registries, the creation of a forum for collaboration between surgeons interested in the advancement of Laparoscopic Liver resection techniques and the education of surgeons wishing to learn these techniques.

WORLD CONGRESS IN ROME AND IN NAPLES
ILLS World Congress, Chair Luca Aldrighetti, Co-Chair Roberto Troisi, Co-Chair and ILLS President elect Mohammed Abu Hilal, will be the first post-pandemic opportunity for the global meeting of hepatobiliary surgeons where recent advancements, achievements in minimally invasive, new technologies and innovative techniques can be assess. The theme of the Congress is “Improving outcomes through surgical innovation and technical developments”. The Faculty will include all Leaders in this field from Europe, Asia, America and more than 600 delegates are expected to attend the meeting and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Rome, the Eternal City. Symposia, Round Tables, Face-to-Face and Video Sessions, Meet-the-Professor Sessions will liven up the program of the Congress on main topics. Two pre-Congresses (Rome, venue of the Congress) and one post-Congress Symposium in Naples, focusing on Minimally Invasive Liver Transplantation and Donor Hepatectomy, will complete the event.
ILLS 2023 Aims To Open Different Networking Platforms For Discussions And Interface Between Liver Surgeons, New Partnership Alliances, Industrial Partner And Their Novel Technologies
The previous World Congresses of ILLS were realized in Paris 2017, Tokyo 2019 and NYC 2021 (web edition during Covid-19 pandemic). Covid-19 pandemic froze for almost two years any possibility for direct interaction between the various specialists during international meetings, thus creating great expectations and enthusiasm for the upcoming world Congress of ILLS.
